(Vocus/PRWEB ) April 5, 2010 -- BioCosmetic Center sees an increase in the number of both interested parties and interested parties willing to follow through when it comes to cosmetic procedures. And this increase is in spite of the recession that has many consumers holding tight to their hard earned dollar.

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) there were almost 10 million surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures performed in the US in 2009. Non-surgical procedures accounted for 85% of the total.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center responded, “There are several reasons why we are experiencing an increase in interest in non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the midst of the recession, but two stand out. The first is that they are less expensive than surgical procedures. The second is that people are looking for a confidence boost. And nothing has more dramatic results on self esteem and confidence than effective cosmetic procedures.”

Negative effects of economic struggle often include depression, weight gain, lower self esteem and lack of confidence. Many Americans are turning to cosmetic procedural centers in order to alleviate the negative effects of financial strain, forced lifestyle change and/or setbacks in their career of choice.

According to the statistics gathered by ASAPS there was a 2 percent decrease in the number of cosmetic procedures from 2008 to 2009. Surgical procedures experienced a decline of 17% while non-surgical procedures experienced an increase of nearly 1%.

BioCosmetic Center offers all inclusive, personalized programs to aid individuals in obtaining their physical and emotional goals. Programs can include any of the following: liposuction, botox, weight loss, scar removal, bio-identical hormones, dermal fillers, acne treatment, laser hair removal, etc.
